BZT-70
The tank project was notable for its extreme armor and firepower values for the time. However, the outstanding technical characteristics meant the vehicle's weight was huge. Chinese engineers got the idea for a caterpillar propulsion system composed of four tracks from the American 105 mm Gun Motor Carriage T95. Well-armored with a small frontal projection area, the tank surpassed most contemporary vehicles in terms of protection. Nevertheless, the project turned out very expensive and remained in blueprints.
